Desert Compostables is a food waste pick-up service on a mission to return food waste and other organic materials to the Earth.

Convenience and accessibility
Life can be hectic and we know dealing with food waste can be messy & time consuming. If you don’t have the time or space to compost at home, we make it easy and convenient for you to dispose of your food waste responsibly.
Diverting organic waste from landfills
When organic waste decomposes in landfills, it generates methane, a potent greenhouse gas. By signing up for our service, you will be diverting organic waste (think food scraps, coffee grounds, & leftovers) from the landfill and returning it to the Earth.
Reducing landfill burden
Landfills are facing increasing pressure due to the continuous accumulation of waste - and approximately one third of this waste is compostable. Joining Desert Compostables can help extend the lifespan of our existing landfills and reduce the need to open new ones.
Supporting sustainable waste management
We are creating a more climate-conscious Tucson by offering sustainable options for waste management. Desert Compostables is partnered with The City of Tucson to offer residential food waste pickup services through their FoodCycle program.

I grew up here in Tucson🌵🦂and I love our community (& our planet). I’m so grateful that I get to do this with my time.
